Staff Formation Engineer

Cuberg is commercializing next-generation battery technology to power the future of electric mobility. The company was acquired in 2021 by Northvolt, a global supplier of sustainable, high-quality battery cells and systems. As Northvolt's Advanced Technology Center operating in Silicon Valley, Cuberg is developing and commercializing lithium metal batteries, building an innovation ecosystem around lithium-ion technology, and leveraging Northvolt's state-of-the-art manufacturing capabilities to rapidly scale up production of advanced batteries.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed specifications and validation activities for specific equipment
• Ensure equipment meets all relevant internal specifications
• Lead and participate in technical design reviews
• Set the critical equipment characteristics to achieve the best safety, performance, manufacturability, and cost efficiency
• Supplier Relationship Management
• Develop and maintain document structure within PLM systems

Requirements

• BSc or MSc degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or other relevant field such as Mechatronics / Design / Industrialization etc. or equivalent in relevant work experience.
• 8+ yrs Experience within Formation, Assembly Equipment, Material Flow and Logistics is preferable
• 5+yrs Working experience in equipment design and/or Project Management
• Experience from manufacturing industry, cell manufacturing is a plus
