As a frontend engineer you will be tasked with the development of a highly optimized & resilient low latency mobile and later web-app experience (FYI: we plan to use React & React Native). We highly value previous expertise in building smooth and pleasant mobile experiences and we would like you to leverage your expertise and work very closely with the backend engineerings and our designer to optimize the mobile app experience.

Additionally our application will have a CAD (Computer-Aided Design) component so any experience in this area will be helpful. 3D game-development experience for example is a big plus.

We are headquartered in Seattle and are building a hub in NYC. We allow for remote work provided that you are able to spend a week once a quarter onsite in Seattle.

Responsibilities and focus areas
  • As the staff FE eng you will act as the technical lead for the team of frontend developers
  • Building modern web applications
  • Building web applications adapted to mobile devices including offline capability
  • General design development and support for web-based applications

You will thrive if you have
  • Early stage startup experience
  • A knack for working in small driven teams with high autonomy
  • The desire to talk to & learn from users and collaboratively build a product together with the founders the designer etc.
  • 10+ years of experience in modern front-end web development
  • 4+ years of experience building web applications adapted for mobile devices
  • Experience with modern CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with agile development practices
  • In-depth knowledge of React JS
  • Experience with React Native

And for extra credit
  • Basic knowledge of computer graphics
  • General knowledge in backend development (Go Node.Js)
  • Experience in building CAD applications 3D games or any other computer graphics related applications.
  • Experience in developing offline-capable applications

Compensation Range
175k - 200k + equity
