Staff Frontend Software Engineer

The Intrinsic frontend is an integrated human interface to the entire Intrinsic platform. We hope to build tools that significantly improve developer productivity during all phases of creating end-to-end robotics applications. We also hope to make robotics accessible to a wider group of users by providing intuitive yet powerful interfaces. While we have a lot of previous work to be inspired by, we are taking an ambitious (yet practical) approach and need creative and talented engineers to own key parts of our frontend.

As a frontend engineer you are excited about owning and developing human-robot interfaces for performing useful tasks in real environments. You will develop a visually-rich graphical user interface for tasks like understanding workcell health, data analysis, visualizing robots state, and interacting with hardware. Building these interfaces will require understanding (and influencing) our end-to-end tech stack and the role of the human in it. 

You are excited by the prospect of providing technical leadership and owning critical pieces of our user experience. You have excellent development skills across the stack (including frontend and web application development), and are excited to be part of a world-class, innovative frontend team.

• Develop intuitive and innovative web interfaces in collaboration with Product, Design and Engineering teams
• Analyze high-level requirements and detailed designs into feasible engineering milestones
• Monitor and improve the health (performance, robustness) of our frontend code
• Set the vision and roadmap of at least one critical piece of the Intrinsic frontend

• Significant experience with frontend engineering (specifically: TypeScript or Javascript and Go or C++)
• Proven record of having shipped at least one large frontend product
• Experience of technical leadership in software development, either formal or informal

• Technical design and development of performant web interfaces (including analyzing web page performance) 
• Developing coherent interfaces across multiple screen sizes and a variety of bandwidth requirements 
• Experience with building marketplaces or similar interfaces
• Experience building dashboards, tools and other interfaces aimed at developers 

The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $184,800 - 292,600 + bonus + equity + benefits. Your recruiter will share more about the specific salary range for your targeted location during the hiring process.
