About the role:

In this role as a Staff Full Stack Developer you will design, develop, and test software for Command and Control based products. Develop Front-end and backend of software prototypes, components, and tooling that can be leveraged to speed prototyping process. Follow development methodologies - Extreme Programming (XP) Practices, Pair-Programming, Test-Driven Development (TDD), CI/CD techniques. Help to design and develop software requirements for multiple Command and Control based products including the software architectures, APIs, frameworks, and libraries. Work with data scientists, UX designers, engineers, and product managers to help in composing cohesive and sound software designs that form the basis of scalable Command and Control software solutions. Build user friendly applications that are accessible to users across multiple domains. Partner with the user research team to build an inclusive and human centered design experience. Be an active member in daily scrum meetings, bi-weekly sprint planning, quarterly milestone planning, and as-needed pairing sessions.

What we are looking for:

• Full-Stack Software Developer with 2 years of experience with Java, Web services, Database, and/or web application development
• 2 years of experience with Front-end frameworks like React; backend frameworks like cloud native SpringBoot; experience with Extreme Programming practices (Test-Driven Development, CI/CD, etc.)
• Experience programming with JavaScript & Java (modern React & SpringBoot)
• Willing to lead a team to accomplish mission critical software development to support real, relevant problem sets in an efficient manner
• Comfortable communicating your technical thought process to non-technical team members
• Passionate about training and upskilling others to build a stronger, cohesive team

Highly preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Machine Learning, Operational Research, Statistics, Mathematics, etc.)
• Experience with backend runtimes and frameworks like Node.js, Spring, Spring Boot, etc.
• Experience contributing to software architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of both new and existing systems; experience using container technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes
• Minimum 2 years of experience using DevSecOps tools and processes such as Git and GitLab CI
• General knowledge of SonarQube and Fortify
• Test authoring experience in JavaScript, Java, or other languages. (Unit tests, Integration tests, and Journey tests)
• Experience with Pair Programming, test mocks, contract testing

Clearance Requirements:

• Active Secret clearance but prefer current Top Secret
