Staff Fullstack Engineer, Platform

We're looking for a Fullstack Staff Software Engineer to join our Platform Engineering squad. Our Platform Team is focused on enabling our customer growth and our team growth.  We apply software engineering principles to accelerate software delivery and ensure application development teams are productive in all aspects of the software delivery lifecycle.  Our team improves reliability and availability (measured by service level objectives) and minimizes the frequency and impact of failures that reflect on the overall reliability of our cloud application.  Initiatives focus on our cloud architecture evolution to improve cost scalability and increase portability, as well as improving the efficiency and quality of deliverables across the Engineering department.

• Engineering: Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software with a strong focus on customer-facing features
• Product Focus: Be the technical owner of features, from design to implementation to ongoing support
• Project Management: Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, code quality and deliverables; Participate in occasional on-call duties to keep software systems up and running

• Expert in (and advocate for) Python and Javascript
• Strong architectural vision and judgment
• Knowledge of evolving best practices and advocate for them
• Experience with:
• Migrating from monolith to decoupled architecture
• Scaling engineering teams
• Mentoring junior developers
• 7+ years of software engineering experience
• Experience developing web applications at scale
• Significant experience with algorithms, data structures, complexity analysis and software design
