Staff Fullstack Software Engineer

The Intrinsic frontend is an integrated human interface to the entire Intrinsic platform. We hope to build tools that significantly improve developer productivity during all phases of creating end-to-end robotics applications. We also hope to make robotics accessible to a wider group of users by providing intuitive yet powerful interfaces. While we have a lot of previous work to be inspired by, we are taking an ambitious (yet practical) approach and need creative and talented engineers to own key parts of our frontend.

As a full-stack engineer you are excited about owning and developing human-robot interfaces for performing useful tasks in real environments. You will develop a visually-rich graphical user interface for building digital workcells i.e. digital assemblies of robots, cameras, grippers and other equipment or objects in 3D space. The digital workcells enable users to layout objects to match reality, understand equipment health, and control various types of physical hardware via the web. Building these interfaces will require understanding and influencing our end-to-end technical stack and the role of the human in it.

You have excellent development skills across the stack (including graphics fundamentals and web application development), and are excited to be part of a world-class, innovative, frontend team.

• Develop intuitive and innovative interfaces in collaboration with Product, Design and Engineering teams
• Analyze high-level requirements and detailed designs into feasible engineering milestones
• Monitor and improve the health (performance, robustness) of our frontend and backend code
• Set the vision and roadmap of at least one critical piece of the Intrinsic frontend

• Extensive experience with FullStack engineering (specifically: TypeScript OR Javascript OR 3D Graphics AND GO OR C++)
• Proven record of having built and shipped at least one large user-facing product
• Experience of technical leadership in software development, either formal or informal

• Technical design and development of performant web interfaces (including analyzing web page performance) 
• Technical design and development of 3D graphics (rendering high frequency changes for large scenes)
• Data visualization experience
• Developing coherent interfaces across multiple screen sizes and a variety of bandwidth requirements 
• Experience building dashboards, tools and other interfaces aimed at developers 

The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $184,800 - $292,600 + bonus + equity + benefits. Your recruiter will share more about the specific salary range for your targeted location during the hiring process.
