This hire will play a pivotal role in managing a team of infrastructure software developers to deliver new features and improvements to AvaCloud's backend application, which is written in Go. They will be responsible for key business deliverables, including ensuring the success of the project through close collaboration with the team manager and providing support for additional services under their purview. As a hands-on role, they will also be required to actively participate in the on-call rotation, making their leadership and technical contributions crucial for the team’s overall success.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

• BS in Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years of experience as a DevOps, Infrastructure, Site Reliability or Cloud Engineer
• Proven track record of success in rapidly scaling startup environments
• Cloud networking and orchestration with AWS (EKS, ECS, VPC, S3, ELB) AND/OR GCP
• Significant experience writing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Terragrunt, and/or Ansible
• Strong Kubernetes experience with Docker or RKT containerization
• Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions (preferred), Jenkins, Travis CI, Circle CI.
• Experience with automation and configuration management using Ansible, Puppet or Chef
• Experience with Linux-based infrastructures (Ubuntu preferred)
• Expert-level knowledge of Golang and Kubernetes
• Working knowledge of decentralized architecture design patterns and distributed systems

Salary Range: $172,400 to $215,400
