Staff Licensed Pharmacist

We are looking for a proactive, empathetic, and caring Staff Pharmacist to join our team. The right candidate for this position will need a strong background in all aspects of pharmaceutical care and will be responsible for maintaining relationships with patients, care providers and the local community. The successful candidate will have the potential to have a major impact on lives of patients and their families by formulating an effective pharmaceutical treatment plan. Responsibilities: • Compound medications and prepare them for dispensing. • Work with other pharmacy staff to oversee the manufacturing and labeling of medications. • Discuss the availability of prescription drugs with a doctor or supervise pharmacy technicians to do so. • Advise a pharmacist when a drug interaction may occur or explain why it cannot. • Work with a physician to determine the best dosage of a new drug and monitor the patient's health to ensure that it is safe. • Communicate with insurance companies, doctors, patients, and pharmacists on the proper procedure for dispensing of prescription drugs. Job Type: Part-time Pay: $65.00 - $73.52 per hour Expected hours: 8 – 16 per week Ability to commute/relocate: • New York, NY 10075: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred) Experience: • Pharmacy residency: 1 year (Preferred) License/Certification: • Registered Pharmacist (Preferred) • Licensed Pharmacist (Preferred) Work Location: In person
