Our Consumer Business Unit is looking for a Staff Mobile Engineer to join the team! Our Consumer department is an Iconic, enduring healthcare consumer brand that presents smart guidance to customers and generates continuous insights to the industry. The Staff Mobile Engineer will be a front-end specialist guiding and advising two full-stack product teams on front-end specific challenges.

You'll lead the evolution of our React web frontend and React Native mobile architecture, with an eye to reducing moving pieces and using our APIs more efficiently. You will also "get your hands dirty" with some of our gnarliest frontend problems, and serve as lead maintainer of Evidation's shared front-end component libraries. You may also be expected to stand an on-call rotation for issues which may involve our app’s full stack.

• Leading Evidation's front-end practice, simplifying our front-end and mobile web architecture with an eye to stability and making it easier to ship.
• Debugging performance and functional issues that show up on the front-end but may not originate there.
• Maintaining and evolving Evidation's internal component library.
• Gently setting and maintaining our internal standards for code style, maintainability, and performance, and building structures to make them attainable.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience as a front-end engineer working with single-page application frameworks or equivalent mobile experience.
• React Native experience.
• Experience with mobile release cycles and their challenges.
• Experience with web front-end and mobile observability tooling.
• Experience with performance optimization in a split client/server context.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a regulated environment and navigating its release management challenges.
• Internal tools experience.
• Production experience with at least one back-end framework (we use Rails).

Evidation is based in California, but our team is distributed within the US.
