The candidate will have responsibility for the following in addition to ad-hoc assignments as needed.
- Development manufacturing processes of new chiller technologies for commercial applied systems
- Collaborate with various organizations to support the development of the new program to ensure a seamless transition into stable productionized manufacturing processes.
- Evaluating material systems for manufacturability and reliability
- Partner with operations to understand and translate design and process engineering requirements into product line design components, subsystems, and products

Responsibilities
You will have the opportunity to build your technical and leadership skills within one of the following or similar tracks: mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, Industrial engineering or controls engineering. In addition, you will have exposure to formal and on-the-job training by:
- Lead the development of new product from the manufacturing engineering perspective
- Driving design for manufacture and field service throughout the development process
- Developing cutting edge manufacturing processes
- Identifying equipment and executing capital plans to meet new program
- Communicating program status to various levels of the company
- Applying fundamental knowledge of Mechanical, electrical engineering, Industrial engineering or controls engineering. Developing, evaluating, and documenting manufacturing processes that improve manufacturability and eliminate process inefficiencies.
- Collaborating with configuration control and design engineering regarding product tooling and design to ensure effectual production methods.
- Conferring with vendors in determining product specifications and arranging equipment, parts, or material purchase, and evaluating products according to quality standards and specifications.
- Working closely with production to develop, coordinate, and implement technical training for employees.
- Designing and developing manufacturing processes for enhancements, product changes, and new products, and related fixtures and tooling that are consistent with zero defect level and low product cost.
- Trouble shooting and resolving technical problems.
- Proactively eliminate EHS hazards and ensure that work areas are safe at all times.
- Leading or Participating in Kaizen teams and 3P events
- Understanding of lean principles and systems thinking is needed to effectively lead the projects and process improvement initiatives.
- Working with Vendors or internal personnel to develop and build new tools and fixtures for advanced manufacturing processes.
Experience & Qualifications
- 10+ years in manufacturing engineering/design/NPI or related field
- Demonstrated technical skills in manufacturing engineering
- Self-starter with the ability to learn quickly
- Proactive and results-driven; thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Design of experiments and data analysis technique knowledge
- Proficient with Microsoft; Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and Word
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with diverse audiences including cross-functional team members, senior leaders, global suppliers, and external customers including service managers and technicians.
- Experience working in a team environment
- Organized with strong attention to detail
Job Requirement
- US Citizen or Permanent Resident
- COVID-19 vaccines will be required for all newly hired Carrier U.S. Salaried employees
- Experience in heat exchanger or compression manufacturing is preferred.
Education & Certification
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
- Master's degree is a plus
