About the jobThis position is needed to work with our strategic partners to design and develop sophisticated integrations for the Twilio Segment Platform. Partners Engineers are experienced software engineers with a background in developing integrations, collaborating with customers to understand their goals and sharing best practices to deliver business value for our customers.
ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you’ll:- Become an expert on Segment’s platform and provide technical mentorship to the engineering teams from a partner lens
- Develop new strategic integrations based on industry trends
- Key influencer to drive vision for Partner Marketplace
- Own and drive relationships with external technical audiences at our partner organizations and show empathy to understand their need and solve their issues
- You have a rare ability to collaborate with and influence diverse engineering teams to improve the product usability based on partner feedback
- Collaborate closely with our Partner Marketing and Product Organizations to develop early proof of concepts and recommendations to help our strategic partners build compelling applications
- Represent Segment at developer community conferences and events
- Work with Developer Network marketing team to identify partner collaborators for recipes and other marketing collateral
- Review Partner Code and identify areas of further optimization before it is deployed into Segment Platform

Required:- 5+ years of Software engineering experience building web/mobile applications. Able to understand different architectural patterns and can work with a wide variety of technologies.
- Experience working on developer platforms
- Experience in building and nurturing partner relationships
- Ability to solve critical business problems with a combination of technology and domain expertise
- Experience with capacity planning - drive an understanding of capacity needs based on our business drivers
- Excellent communicator who can distill complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Thrives in a cross functional, collaborative environment
- Has background working in a partner facing role(e.g. developer evangelism, partner engineer, solutions architect)
- Previous experience with Customer Data Platforms
- Previous Eexperience building integrations on segment platform will be a huge plus
- Previous experience with Node, TypeScript, Go or Java will be a big plus
- Previous experience in Martech/adtech tools
- Previous experience and specialization in a vertical - Retail, Healthcare etc
This role will be remote and open to the USA and Canada.
Approximately 5% travel is anticipated.
This position is a remote role but is not eligible to be hired in San Francisco, CA, Oakland, CA, San Jose, CA, or the surrounding areas.

If you are a Colorado applicant:- The estimated pay range for this role, based in Colorado, is $160,080 - $200,100.
- Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Twilio's equity plan.
The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state. This role is also eligible to participate in Twilio’s equity plan and for the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.
