Staff Perception Software Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

• Work across machine learning engineers to deploy and evaluate state-of-the-art perception and other end-to-end models for cloud simulation and on-target platforms.

• Develop and maintain full life cycle of performance-critical perception software including designing, prototyping, implementation, integration and testing with other components in autonomous driving stack.

• Develop tools and techniques to analyze, profile, debug and monitor existing perception pipelines to identify and mitigate GPU and CPU processing bottlenecks to improve performance and reliability of our autonomy software stack.

Job Requirements:

• Master’s degree in computer science/engineering, electronic engineering, or related field.

• 5+ years of experience in software development.

• In-depth knowledge of high performance software development and hardware acceleration on x86/ARM Linux and/or other RTOS platforms. Past embedded development experience with NVIDIA GPU compute platform is highly desirable.

• Strong C/C++ (C++11 and beyond) and/or Python programming skills.

• Familiar with deep learning frameworks and model deployment processes such as model conversion, model inference, and decoder implementation.

• Familiar with computer vision libraries such as OpenCV and NVIDIA GPU libraries such as CUDA, TensorRT.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to details.

• Excellent communicate skill and ability to work with multiple teams across time zones.

The base salary range for this full-time position is $180,000 - $300,000, in addition to bonus, equity and benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
