Your Responsibilities
As a Staff Performance Engineer for John Deere Intelligent Solutions Group (ISG)located in Urbandale, IA, you will support the development and implementation of controlled performance tests on embedded Precision Ag software. Responsibilities include:
  • Developing infrastructure, data-logging, and automation needs for controlled vehicle in the loop (VIL) test procedures
  • Developing data analysis toolsets to automate reporting of key performance metrics
  • Correlating test results within simulation environments
  • Driving alignment and consistency in data collection and analysis methods within ISG globally and the platforms

What Skills You Need (Required skills/experiences)
  • Demonstrated experience developing or executing controlled and/or automated tests
  • Experience with MATLAB/Simulink and/or Dynamic System Models (DSM)
  • Experience with one or more programming/scripting languages
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated efficacy interfacing with engineers and/or developers.
  • Strong analytical skills to break down, solve and convey complex issues to engineers in other disciplines

What Makes You Stand Out (Desired skills/experiences)
  • Experience with embedded electronics development/verification techniques and tools
  • Experience using CAN communication and logging tools
  • Experience using advanced analog/digital data collection tools
  • Experience with Systems Engineering Principles
  • Knowledge of Deere Precision Ag products and machine operation

Education Details
Advanced degree in an Engineering, Science, or Technology related discipline or Bachelor's degree with experience.
