Staff Pharmacist

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Staff Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. MUST BE EXPERIENCED WITH MICRO MERCHANT SYSTEMS. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective use of medications, providing exceptional patient care, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize medication therapy. This role requires a strong understanding of pharmacy practices, critical care, and the ability to utilize pharmacy software effectively. Duties • Review and interpret physician orders to ensure appropriate medication therapy. • Prepare and dispense medications accurately while adhering to safety protocols. • Provide patient counseling on medication usage, side effects, and interactions. • Collaborate with healthcare providers to manage medication therapy for patients in critical care settings. • Answering phone calls • Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff in daily operations. • Maintain accurate records of medication administration and patient profiles. • Stay updated on new medications, therapies, and pharmacy regulations. • Utilize medical terminology and anatomy knowledge to enhance patient care. Experience • A Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution is required. • Previous experience in a clinical or hospital pharmacy setting is preferred. • Completion of a pharmacy residency program is highly desirable. • Proficiency in pharmacy software systems for medication management is essential. • Strong background in patient care practices and medication administration techniques. • Familiarity with medical management processes and critical care environments is an asset.
