Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Product Engineering Teams optimize existing products from information or input provided by marketing, customers, Operation Teams, Development Engineers or other employees. They maintain existing products, processes, and specifications including modifications for new applications consistent with manufacturing techniques and economies. They also initiate and implement programs to continuously improve quality, and cost, while meeting customer requirements and may support and implement product extensions to existing platform products to meet specific customer requirements. They are the key experts in the products they are responsible for at TE.

Please note: This position may involve working with technical data, technology, software/source code, hardware or other items (collectively "items) subject to U.S. and non-U.S. export control laws and regulations. Short Description

  • Health & Safety: Ensure that all Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are fulfilled for the manufacturing process. Ensure the requirements of ISO-45001 are considered during Design, Development and new Product Introduction and integrated into production processes.
  • Quality: Drive Engineering solutions to ensure Right First-Time principles, driving yield improvements, Complaint reductions and supporting the CAPA process. Ensure the requirements of ISO-13485 are considered during Design, Development and new Product Introduction and integrated into production processes
  • Continuous Improvement: Work with key business stakeholders and NPD teams to assess process capabilities, prioritize process improvement opportunities implementing them using Lean and six-sigma tools.
  • Service: Drives a culture Exceptional Customer Experience (ECE) for both the Internal and External customers, by ensuring that projects and commitments are continually being met or exceeded.
  • Coordinate the planning, implementing and co-ordination of New Product introduction to include Product design, Product specifications, Process Validations, Identification of training needs, and process in accordance with TE Procedures and Regulatory standards.
  • assist in the introduction of new equipment; equipment installation validation, process development and validation and assisting in sourcing tooling, equipment and technologies, as required to implement the manufacture of new and existing production.
  • Co-ordinating the supply of insourcing extrusions, if required, with the Extrusion sites including agreeing specifications of tubing, resins and quality requirements.
  • Planning and co-ordination to ensure that the necessary testing, evaluation & control of equipment measures are in place to monitor & support product quality in accordance with TE Procedures and regulatory standards.
  • Investigating in state-of-the-art process technologies and evaluating potential competitive advantage and the cost benefit of introduction but also addressing and advising on reliable standard technologies already in-house.
  • Communications to Operation's Stakeholders on NPD Project Status and Launch on time.
  • Is responsible to lead the engineering efforts at the site in coordination with all other plant leads.
  • Manages external relationships with key technology providers.

What your background should look like:

  • Bachelor level degree majored in Engineering, or above.
  • More than 5 years mechanical design experience leading (NPI) development and deployment. Independently relay development experience is plus.
  • Familiar with (GD&T), aerospace product development, aerospace products development process like APQP and PPAP.
  • Skilled in at least one 3D Software: Creo or Pro/E or Catia or UG. Mastery of office software such as Word, Excel, PPT, etc.
  • Proficient in writing and reading English. Good Oral English is plus.
  • Good communication skills, High teamwork spirit and teamwork experience, ability to work with multicultural engineering teams and cross functional environments.
  • Effective problem-solving skills, willingness/ability to deal with multiple products and assigned tasks.
