As a Staff Software Engineer in Test (SDET) on a new core engine team at Bungie, you will help drive automated testing improvements for our award-winning proprietary “Tiger Engine”. You will build and support adoption of new test frameworks that allow us to share upgrades more easily between different game projects. Finally, your contributions will empower developers across Bungie to do their best work and ultimately improve our ability to create great games more effectively.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Drive our overall automated testing vision and architect solutions to accelerate our ability to share engine technology across projects drastically
• Design, build, and maintain automated test frameworks for our game engine and tools
• Coach and support Engineers in the development of automated test frameworks that fit into our broader testing ecosystem
• Partner with customers to facilitate the adoption of automated test frameworks, identifying improvements and removing barriers to entry
• Work across teams to evangelize and support a culture of quality through automated testing

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Knowledge of core programming principles
• Proficiency with C#
• Expertise in automated testing of games and / or tools
• Expertise in automated testing concepts, best practices, etc.
• Experience developing multiple types of automated testing frameworks; understanding trade-offs of differing approaches
• Experience collaborating with engineers on automated testing
• Ability to develop complex products with high cross-team dependencies

NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS

• Experience with C++ and / or game development
• Experience testing large and complex technology ecosystems
