Staff Security Engineer

About The Role:

As a Staff Security Engineer at Grow, you’ll have a crucial role in ensuring the security of our apps and data, as well as improving the overall security posture of the organization.

What you’ll do:

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive security strategy for Grow’s apps and data.
• Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards, and ensure adherence across the organization.
• Implement and/or integrate security features to harden Grow’s surface area against attacks. 
• Maintain and improve compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards such as HIPAA, SOC 2, and CCPA.
• Collaborate with Grow engineers and engineering teams to integrate security best practices into the development lifecycle.
• Stay up to date with emerging security threats and trends, and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.

You’d be a great fit if...

• You have at least 5+ years of experience in security engineering, with a strong background in vulnerability management, network security, and incident response.
• You have a solid understanding of industry best practices for security, including familiarity with common frameworks such as NIST, ISO, and SOC 2.
• You have experience with cloud security, including AWS, and are familiar with security tools and technologies like SIEM, WAF, and IDS/IPS.
• You have experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, and are comfortable with ambiguity and change.
• You have excellent communication and collaboration skills, and can work effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
• You are proactive and self-motivated, and can work independently to identify and prioritize security risks and opportunities for improvement.
