About the Role: 

We are seeking a passionate staff or senior staff software engineer to join our AI team. The AI team develops the cutting edge deep learning, NLP, search and recommendation algorithms that power AlphaSense Search and AI products. You’ll work closely with a team of talented researchers and engineers to deliver scalable solutions for our world class AI powered search platform. 

• An advanced degree in a relevant technical discipline such as Computer Science, Engineering or Information Technology is highly desired, but equivalent experience will be considered as well
• 5+ years of experience in building scalable cloud based software solutions. Familiar with REST APIs, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and AWS or GCP
• Proficient in Java and Python. Bonus if you are familiar with Javascript and/or GraphQL.
• You have hands-on experience building large scale backend software systems, for example, a high-throughput data process pipeline or a high QPS search engine. 
• You have demonstrated technical leadership in a cross-functional distributed team environment.
• Prior experience managing a high performing engineering team is preferred but not required. You should enjoy mentoring junior engineers and helping their professional development.
• An excellent communicator with strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills
• You have experience working on the productization in one or more of the following fields: ML Ops,  Large Language Models, Search, Recommendation -- that’s a huge plus!

What You’ll Do: 

• Architect, design and implement the next generation of core platform powering AlphaSense AI and Search product
• Work with AI research and engineers to deploy large scale AI and NLP models to production
• Work closely with Product Management to translate product requirements into software architectures, and make sure that the solutions are delivered with high quality in a timely manner
• Provide technical leadership to a group of talented engineers, guide the best practices of software development, and be a trusted technical advisor to your team and partners 
• Continue to be hands-on, write code and delivery projects 
• Work cross-functionally to align the AI, search and product roadmaps

Base Compensation Range*:  $174,000 - $276,000

Additional Components: You may also be offered a performance-based bonus, equity, and a generous benefits program.

*For base compensation, we set standard ranges for all US-based roles based on function, level and geographic location, benchmarked against similar stage growth companies and internal comparables. In order to be compliant with local legislation, as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates, we share salary ranges on all job postings regardless of desired hiring location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including geographic location as well as candidate experience/expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.
