Staff Software Developer / Team Lead (m/f/d)

Our Berlin R&D team is currently focused on delivering new features and enhancements to our Smart Compensation product. Smart Compensation allows people leaders to make better, fairer and quicker decisions when it comes to compensation planning, by automating workflows and guiding users through a fair and equitable process that removes bias and promotes consistency in decision-making. In addition, our Berlin team will also be building new, innovative technologies, that allow organisations to more effectively deliver their Total Rewards strategies.

What you'll be doing...

• Developing new features and functionality for Visiers Smart Compensation product, and other Visier applications
• Gathering requirements and designing new software features
• Contributing innovative ideas to help the team continuously improve in terms of process and best practice
• Leading and mentoring junior software developers
• Leading by example by demonstrating software development best practice

What you'll bring to the table...

• Extensive professional experience developing cloud-based applications
• Excellent coding skills in at least one object-oriented server programming language (Unix environment).
• Excellent knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
• Great assets would be: experience with functional programming languages, modern web technologies, data science or patterns
• Ability to work quickly to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to disciplined and top-quality software development.
• A strong academic background in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a similar field with an excellent academic record in Computer Science courses.
