As a Staff Software Development Engineer in Test, you will be making an impact across your entire team and driving meaningful technical change that affects the entire organisation.

In this role, you will work collaboratively with Product Management, Engineering, Compliance, Security, and Operations as an integral part of the development and testing processes.

You will lead the architecture, design, and implementation of test frameworks and systems aiming to improve the availability, scalability, latency, security, compliance and efficiency of our platform suite.

This is a hands-on role where you will be given wide latitude to make technical decisions and influence our reliability.

You are a high performing quality engineer who works collaboratively with the team and mentors your peers, explaining test architecture, design, and automation with clarity that elevates everyone in our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead design of major automation testing frameworks.
  • Work with other SDETs across multiple teams to create, maintain, and improve these frameworks and tests.
  • Help move the teams toward continuous integration standard methodologies that are efficient/effective and deliver our products to a high-quality standard.
  • Strong ability to triage, troubleshoot, and identify root cause of test case failures.
  • Strong ability to triage, troubleshoot, and identify root cause of production issues.
  • Provide insights on how to improve our products’ stability and reliability.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • 8+ years of software test architecture and automation experience
  • Deep understanding of object-oriented programming and experience with at least one object-oriented programming language (ie Java, Go, Python)
  • Extensive experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm.
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices such as code reviews, testing, version control, and build processes
  • Proven experience testing APIs, services, mobile phones, and data driven applications.
  • Experience architecting and developing test frameworks, automation, and end-to-end validation across multiple environments.
  • Experience with public cloud services (AWS or Google Cloud Platform or Azure).
  • Experience in an agile/scrum environment.
  • Bachelors in Computer Science or other quantitative fields or relevant experience.
  • Technical leadership experience mentoring junior and senior level SDETs and setting technical direction.
  • Experience with database internals, database language theories, database design, SQL and database programming.
  • AWS Certification.

  • Experience in high-growth /pre-IPO Technology companies

The salary range for this role is $125,000- $160,000 plus company bonus. Offered salary will be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
