Your Responsibilities
As a Software Engineer in I&O's Web Services team, you will have the opportunity to develop solutions for configuration and management of the core infrastructure components that are part of the secure communication backbone for Deere's internal and/or external networks. You will also participate in the Deere's cloud-native platform's inception and vision!
Responsibilities for this position include:

• Build & Operate Secure & Reliable Distributed Systems at scale
• Automate the provisioning of infrastructure using DevSecOps practices
• Managing the configuration of infrastructure components using Configuration Management tools
• Work with I&O scrum teams that manage other infrastructure components
• Participate in the future road maps for Web Services products

What Skills You Need

• Expertise with Linux Operating System, virtualization & container technologies
• Expertise in programming with Golang, Rust
• Working knowledge of managing Kubernetes clusters for enterprise scale and extending Kubernetes with Operators
• Experience with DevSecOps processes and tools - Terraform, Github Actions, ArgoCD
• Working knowledge of one or more software-based network load balancers/proxies - Envoy, HAProxy, Ngnix

What Makes You Stand Out

• Experience with products in CNCF landscape - https://landscape.cncf.io/
• Experience with programming languages - Golang, Rust, Python
• Experience in an Agile/Scrum team environment

Education
Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

• Degree in an Engineering/Technology discipline
