What you will be doing:

• Provides the extensible systems and frameworks used to transfer customer data from external systems into our ingest pipelines. 
• Direct the software systems development function, including the design, development, troubleshooting, and debugging of Installed/Cloud Collector, Cloud-to-cloud collection framework for software enhancements and new features including cloud-based or internet-related tools. 
• Work cross functionally to ensure alignment with the field, provide process and product feedback, and resolve critical customer situations. 
• Work with the Data Collection team members to help resolve priorities and the roadmap for the team. 
• Design, architect and implement highly scalable, distributed and multi-tenant Collection backend systems for data-ingestion pipeline. 
• Solve complex challenges in low-latency and zero-data-loss scenarios.  
• Review Data Collection project plans to coordinate project activities to be executed.
• Works on issues of diverse scope such as complex microservices having REST API interfaces and contracts for HTTP and other popular protocols where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends. 
• Develop instrumentation, profiling tools and systems for measuring adherence to Service Level Objectives. 
• Oversee the development of software and software tools used for monitoring uptime and service outages in design, infrastructure, and platforms. Diagnose and resolve systemic obstacles that prevent your team from delivering high-quality software.

What we need from you

Requirements: 

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related IT field and five (5) years of post-baccalaureate, progressive experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer or in a related role. In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree and five (5) years of experience, will accept a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related IT field and three (3) years of experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer or in a related role.

• Experience with: 

• Discrete Simulation & Modeling; Modeling of Information Computation & Communication; 
• Cryptography & Computer Networks; 
• Operating Systems & Database Management Systems; 
• Design & Analysis of Algorithms; 
• Formal Program Development; and, 
• Network Security.
