What We’re Looking For 

 

Q2 is seeking a highly experienced C# .NET/Golang Backend Developer to help us create and maintain applications and services that integrate with our partners. Our ideal candidate has a self-motivated tinkering spirit and is comfortable in professional development life, while rapidly learning to engineer solutions using a mix of different technologies and our very own proprietary framework.

We make simple, intelligent, end-to-end banking and lending experiences that help those financial institutions serve their customers. The Premier Services team works directly with Q2’s most prominent customers who are seeking to innovate and extend the Q2 software platform. As part of our Premier Services development team within Q2, you will be working with others to enhance our online banking software and extend its capabilities.

Our Responsibilities 

We design, develop, debug, and deploy applications and services using C# and the .NET Framework, and Golang (via Docker containers) in Nomad. Our projects are relatively small with short, aggressive timelines, which creates a dynamic and constantly changing atmosphere. 

  • We write applications and services using Microsoft C#. And we’re excited to integrate Golang into our primary tech stack. 

  • We follow the most common software design principles, including MVC, OOP, and SOLID 

  • We use popular data platforms and file formats including SQL, JSON, and XML 

  • We primarily use Visual Studio and have pockets of JetBrains and VS Code.

  • We use some populate management tools – like Jira, Confluence, and Mavenlink.

  • We use Git for source control – who doesn’t anymore, right? 

  • We use modern application deployment and management tools like Nomad. 

  • We support, maintain, and resolve problems for custom features, with occasional on-call needs. 

  • We adhere to all security, availability, confidentiality, and privacy policies and controls. 

  • We happily assist and mentor teammates to provide technical leadership and evangelize best practices. 

What We Require 

  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 8 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with 6+ years of experience; or equivalent related work experience. 

  • Proficiency in C# or Golang 

  • Proficiency in SQL 

  • Passion for applying solid design principles while exercising pragmatism to keep deadlines 

  • Experience in all aspects of the software development life cycle 

  • Experience engineering software in a service-oriented architecture 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 

  • Effective communication skills 

  • Experience contributing to an Agile development environment 

  • Good interpersonal skills 

  • Occasional availability for on-call/emergency support 

  • Ability to work flexible hours when necessary for deadlines and off-hours installations

Pursuant to the Colorado Fair Pay Act, below is a summary of compensation elements for this role at the company if based in Colorado.

Colorado Target Compensation:

$146,300 - $154,000

At Q2, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as either: total base pay OR base salary and short-term incentives depending on the level of the role.
