Staff Software Engineer
Redwood City, CA
Salary Range: $154,000 - $218,000 USD
Poshmark, Inc., is hiring for the following role in Redwood City, CA: Staff Software Engineer to design and develop Poshmark web applications, processes, or platforms.
Responsibilities
- Build scalable services on AWS using the latest open source tools and technologies;
- Design and improve architecture to ensure horizontal scalability at all layers;
- Implement APIs and services for use by other applications; manage, develop, deploy, monitor, and test application lifecycle;
- Collaborate with Machine Learning engineers and data scientists to build efficient workflows;
- Conduct peer review and regular design feedback to peers;
- Develop processes within Poshmark including prioritization, product roadmaps, and interfacing with key cross-functional stakeholders;
- Utilize frameworks for caching, queuing, REST, and distributed data storage; and
- Create distributed systems and large scale engineering challenges.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Two (2) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
- Requires two (2) years of experience in each of the following: Software engineering; distributed systems; REST, Queuing, Redis, and distribute data storage like MySQL; LAMP Stack in Linux, Apache, MySQL, or PHP; and Front-end development using JavaScript and HTML.
