Location: Austin, TX
We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join the http://Realtor.com Data Core team within the Data Platform organization. As a Staff Software Engineer on the Data Core Team, you will work to build and deliver quality data in real time to help stakeholders make data driven decisions. You will write code for data pipelines, data transformations, data modeling and other data-related tasks. You will also help build APIs for data access and integration with other systems and develop and maintain software applications related to data governance in accordance with CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act) regulations.

What you'll do

• Work collaboratively in teams composed of Product Managers and Engineers
• Implement and maintain data governance practices to handle consumer data requests, such as data access and deletion requests.
• Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure that the system meets CCPA requirements.
• Ensure that API endpoints are secure, reliable, and well-documented.
• Develop reusable components and frameworks for data transformation, anomaly detection and improving data quality,
• Own the delivery, quality, and reliability of our core data suite and act as support for production issues, profile performance, and drive in root cause analysis.
• Actively seek out new technologies, evaluate them, and make recommendations to integrate them into our solutions and products
• Perform presentations of our products/features to internal stakeholders
• Work in a primarily Agile/Scrum product development process

What we're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 8+ years of related experience
• A driven software engineer that is motivated to build great products and a great codebase in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in Python and Typescript. Ability to work in other languages is desirable
