This is an opportunity to join our Genomics & Automation group where we make products that accelerate the pace of scientific research and personalized medicine.

Examples include the NGeniuS Next Generation Library Prep System and the Biomek i-Series Automated Workstations. You will be working with a team of highly skilled developers to learn from while designing the next generation of Genomics & Automation robotics.

In this role you will:

  • Work with an extended team of engineers, scientists, and product managers to understand the needs of our customers and users.
  • Design, implement, and deliver software solutions.
  • Collaborate with a team of software engineers to architect robust software systems that meet performance, user, and customer needs.
  • Ensure software quality using personal reviews, team inspections, and testing.
  • Lead software planning activities to ensure schedule, delivery, and quality goals are met.
  • Serve as software representative to collaborate cross-functionally with the rest of the project.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Ambition to grow into a leadership position.
  • Familiarity with functional programming.
  • Experience in manual memory management.
  • Previous experience working in a regulated industry.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and technical coordination skills.
  • Excitement about learning both new and legacy technologies.
  • Demonstrated history producing quality code using inspections, design reviews, and testing.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a willingness to learn and understand unfamiliar code.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, or higher, in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM field.
  • 7+ years of industry experience in shipping production code in a language like C#, JavaScript, Python, Java, C++, or others.

Work Location:

This is a hybrid position based at our Indianapolis, IN location with the option of working remotely an average of 3 days per week.
