Staff Software Engineer

As a Staff Software Engineer on the Localization Engineering team, you will work on high-leverage and cross-cutting projects. You will collaborate with Principal Engineers, Architects, and Product Managers, and be a force multiplier on your team. You will join as a technical leader on a team with low operational overhead.

This position reports to the Senior Manager, Software Engineering, and is based remotely in the Czech Republic. We’re looking for someone to join us immediately!

What you’ll do:

• Drive evolutionary change in Procore’s Internationalization and Localization software stack
• Define technical roadmap for the team, identifying areas that need improvement and leading cross-team solutions
• Participate in designing and building systems that align with business outcomes
• Provide technical leadership for an org of 8-10 engineers
• Write well-crafted, well-tested, readable, maintainable code
• Serve as a leader and mentor to junior engineers within your team 
• Share your knowledge by giving brown bags, tech talks, and evangelizing appropriate tech and engineering best practices

What we're looking for:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, a related field, or comparable work experience
• 8+ years experience in software development using modern languages such as Typescript, Ruby on Rails or Python
• Experience designing and building software that boosts developer productivity and efficiency 
• Strong experience documenting and bringing clarity to ambiguous problems
• Experience working remotely and with distributed teams
• Fluent in verbal and written English
