ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a Staff Engineer to collaborate closely with our Head of Engineering in driving key company objectives and technical strategy. This role presents an opportunity to shape a next-generation logistics business that supports hard working Americans in a critical industry. It demands high expectations, significant autonomy, and a profound sense of responsibility. You will be tasked with:

• Driving multi-quarter, cross-team technical strategies and roadmaps for Pallet that align with short-term and long-term business goals.
• Spearheading critical business and technical initiatives, such as:
• Scaling key systems to meet the demands of our growing customer base, products, and engineering team (e.g., report generation, notifications, caching, permissions, financial reporting).
• Introducing customer-facing optimizations, from workflow automations to routing optimization algorithms.
• Cultivating a robust engineering culture by exemplifying excellence, mentoring teammates, and maintaining high standards for engineering practices.

YOU HAVE

• 8+ years of Software Engineering experience, ideally with a blend of startup and large engineering team environments.
• Proven track record of delivering impactful business outcomes through the development of new products and/or the execution of technical initiatives.
• Demonstrated examples of servant leadership, with a history of empowering and supporting engineering teams, and driving cultural improvements within engineering.
• Proficiency with Node.js, TypeScript, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, and related technologies.

POSITION'S COMPENSATION RANGE

$180,000-205,000 plus generous equity ✌️
