Staff Software Engineer
Job Description
SevenRooms is hiring a Fullstack Staff Software Engineer to join our Enterprise squad. We’re looking for an experienced Fullstack developer who specializes in Python and Reactjs and is excited to engineer highly performant, mission-critical systems that are designed for agile development and rapid scaling. As a member of our Enterprise team, you will partner with other engineers, product managers and designers to work at scale and engineer real solutions that ship directly to our customers. You will have the opportunity to solve complex technical problems, and deliver on high priority feature requests for 7R Enterprise Clients to unblock revenue and minimize risk of churn, all while creating magical experiences for diners and driving up-front revenue for our clients. You will report to our Enterprise team’s Engineering Manager.

What You'll Do- Engineering: Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software with a strong focus on customer-facing features. Become an expert in a system-level view of the SevenRooms architecture. Own and implement major features and architectural changes alongside other engineers. Be a role model and mentor to other engineers; assist in technical design reviews
- Product Focus: Be the technical owner of features, from design to implementation to ongoing support. Be opinionated about building great products. Work hand-in-hand with our Product Managers and Designers to build creative solutions to our most challenging customer problems.
- Project Management: Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, code quality and deliverables; Participate in occasional on-call duties to keep software systems up and running.
- Technical Expertise: Be an expert in a component-level and systems-level view of the SevenRooms architecture; assist in architecture review and analysis.
- Collaboration: Work with product and engineering teams to produce development plans and see through delivery and success.

- Expert in (and advocate for) Python and Javascript
- Strong architectural vision and judgment
- Knowledge of evolving best practices and advocate for them
- Experience with: Migrating from monolith to decoupled architecture. Scaling engineering teams. Mentoring junior developers
- 7+ years of software engineering experience
- Experience developing web applications at scale
- Significant experience with algorithms, data structures, complexity analysis and software design
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies

- Fair and equitable compensation: Our compensation packages are competitive based on external market data. At SevenRooms, you can expect fair pay for your hard work and dedication to helping us transform the hospitality industry. In addition, we also offer equity in our growing organization.
- The salary range for this role is $200,000-$210,000. This is the range SevenRooms in good faith believes is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of the posting. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed remotely in any US state. Base pay offered may vary depending on, but not limited to education, experience, skills, geographic location, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business needs. This range may be modified in the future. This job is also bonus eligible. No amount is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable.
