Staff Software Engineer

At E2open, you will be an integral member of a dynamic organization, working on cutting-edge technology that transforms the way companies do business with their trading partners in complex, multi-tier supply chains. Currently, E2open is seeking an energetic Application Engineer to join our Research & Development Group. This position involves the development of leading-edge Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) supply chain management applications that drive complex multi-company supply chain management dashboards, workflows, and business-to-business supply chain data interchanges.

Responsibilities

• Develop features on a complex SAAS based supply chain management application and ensure they are performant and scalable
• End to end ownership of features and enhancements including technical design, development, automated tests, and production deployment.
• Participate in architecture and technical design reviews
• Work closely with QA team and to ensure successful feature testing and end-end regression testing is complete.
• Participate in daily scrums and collaborate closely with other R&D teams.
• Collaborate closely with other R&D teams to ensure integration features work well.
• Collaborate with external stake holders such as product management and services delivery to ensure product features meet business requirements.
• Collaborate with external groups within e2open such as professional services, customer success team or global support to resolve production issues.
• Work with our technical writers to ensure our software products and services are properly documented

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in developing and supporting scalable java applications, application servers and related web technologies
• Experience working on a Linux/Unix environment including basic scripting skills
• Strong database experience - Oracle preferred and experience working with database technologies, SQL
• Strong understanding and experience with REST web services, JSON, XML, JavaScript, HTML and Web technologies such as Angular, Bootstrap (CSS).
• Must demonstrate knowledge of fundamental testing principles, concepts, and techniques. Experience with Testing, JUnit and other automated testing tools is a plus.
• Understanding and experience with software development life cycles, agile/scrum development experience is a plus
• Experience in implementing java and object-oriented design patterns, excellent understanding of coding methods and best practices
• Must have strong analytic and problems solving skills, must be able to present ideas clearly and possess a strong desire to learn

Qualifications:

• Masters or Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
