Staff Software Engineer - Managed team (Node.js, Typescript)

We are looking for a passionate Staff Software Engineer to lead the development of our systems, embrace our collaborative culture, and advocate for our high standards.

For this role, we seek a partner for our Software Composition Analysis team that will be at the forefront of our efforts here in the Analysis division, driving the engine of our systems across the board for our customers.

You’ll Spend Your Time: 

• Leading with technical excellence innovative projects and initiatives rallying those around you in building industry forward, cutting-edge solutions.
• Designing and implementing technical solutions in TypeScript and Golang, prioritizing an exceptional, secure developer experience.
• Building scalable, resilient, and high-performance systems deployed on Kubernetes and other cloud-native technologies.
• Creating and setting high standards on the operational side of the systems.
• Embracing our 'One Team' value by collaborating extensively across various departments and geographies, fostering a culture of inclusion and transparency.
• Engaging with our product partners and our customer representatives to understand what we build and why, demonstrating that we “Care Deeply” and we’re building “Customer Centric”
• Mentoring and supporting team members, holding interviews to recruit new talent, and ensuring that we foster an environment of growth, partnership, and belonging, in partnership with your Engineering Manager.

What You’ll Need: 

• At least 3 years of technical lead experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.
• Extensive experience building services in TypeScript and/or Go and a commitment to building exceptional quality products.
• Humble leadership style characterized by open-mindedness, empathy, and a commitment to shared success by helping the team define best practices.
• A passion for developer experiences and a deep understanding of their challenges and needs.
• A record of creating sweeping improvements in stability, performance, cost, and scalability across major business-critical systems.
• Production experience with CI/CD tools, Kubernetes, Docker or other containerization technologies, as well as cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Clear communication skills and interpersonal skills to enable working in highly cross-functional, distributed product teams.

• Believe we can do more than just review pull requests, and want to unlock that belief
• Have experience working with integrations for GitHub Apps, Bitbucket Connect, IDE Plugins, or Command-line Interfaces
• Are familiar with Application Security, DevSecOps, AST (SAST, SCA, IAST, DAST), or developer tooling
• Know how dependency resolution works on various package managers.
