At BILL, our Platform Engineering Team is on a mission to build the foundation and tools that empower our developers to maximize their efficiency. Your role is instrumental in supporting our engineers as they deliver cutting-edge platforms and services, elevating our developers' capabilities and the products they create. You'll collaborate closely with a dedicated team of engineers, engaging in tasks that encompass automating build and deployment systems, scaling infrastructure, fine-tuning performance, and adeptly troubleshooting issues. We are on the lookout for individuals who embody drive, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to achieving operational excellence while amplifying developer productivity.

We’d love to chat if you have:

• Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field with a minimum of 8 years of software engineering experience, or 6 years with a Master's degree.
• Technical Proficiency: A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Golang (preferably) and/or Python, showcasing a strong capability to design and develop internal tools and applications.
• Cloud Expertise: A deep understanding of cloud platforms, particularly AWS, is highly desirable.
• CI/CD Mastery: Proficiency in CI/CD platforms, particularly with GitLab.
• Tech Savvy: A demonstrated ability and enthusiasm for learning new technologies and tools, with a keen sense of where and how to apply them. Staying updated with emerging tech trends is a must
• Collaborative Spirit: Proven ability to lead, collaborate, and partner effectively across various engineering teams, recognizing that innovation can spring from anyone within the organization
• Analytical Prowess: Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and planning skills, coupled with a drive for continual learning and self-improvement
• Self-Motivation: Self-motivated with the capability to manage multiple concurrent tasks, all while maintaining a keen awareness of burnout risks
• Communication Skills: Proficiency in preparing, fine-tuning, and delivering presentations to technical audiences spanning various organizational levels
