Job Description
You will have the opportunity to work with our A10 Threat Intelligence Research Team as we devise new ways to protect our customers from Cyber Criminals. You will use Machine Learning to understand DDoS attack behavior and devise robust methods to mitigate them. We research attack tools, reverse engineer malware and utilize this to help protect customers.
Assist with the development and expansion of a threat intelligence infrastructure. This includes ideation and development of sensors, data enrichment pipeline and other functions. Next, we automate the large scale gathering and collection of threat intelligence and use it on all A10 products and services
Primary Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and improve upon AWS cloud infrastructure (EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, and other supporting functions)
- Build, maintain, and improve upon ELK stack infrastructure and its supporting functions
- Build and implement monitoring and alerting systems
- Expand upon a large network of honeypots and other Threat Intelligence systems.
- Developing of new tools to hunt and analyze new and emerging threats
- Work with the team to track emerging threats, discover new tools and techniques, and understand which threats are of importance to explore for customers.
- Participate in paper, poster, and talk creation for both academic and industry conferences
- Participate in code reviews, defining and refining your team's process
Requirements
- Strong understanding of the core concepts of DevOps, microservices, systems administration, and monitoring/alerting
- Experience with Machine Learning
- Knowledge of DDoS attack behavior
- Ability to reverse engineer malware
- Strong proficiency in Python
- Elastic Stack - Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana
- Understanding of Honeypot functions, Threat Intelligence, and Darkweb analysis
- Basic Linux administration including shell scripting
- Basic understanding of Internet infrastructure
- Deep security related background (3+ years commercial experience or equivalent)
- Self-motivation, with the ability to work independently and on a team
Education
- MS Degree in Computer Science with exposure to Security
