What you’ll do:Â
As a Staff Software Process and Quality Engineer you will enable and support the engineering team:
- To establish software development processes and tool chains that help shape the autonomous driving industry
- Establishing process which relate to existing automotive frameworks or standards such as : Automotive SPICE, Functional Safety, SOTIF, and Cybersecurity
- Perform quality assurance activities which will drive quality across the organization and enable the mission of releasing the first ever commercial self-driving truck.
- Identify non-conformance issues, and communicate with stakeholders to get them resolved
- Enable and support  engineering teams to deep dive top issues and execute improvement actions through  root cause analysis
- Collect and analyze software quality data during development, identify quality risks and report quality status to relevant stakeholders regularly
- Lead or support audits and assessments for Automotive SPICE or Functional Safety
- Work with Software Engineering teams to implement software quality and safety processes
- Analyze process gaps and identify opportunities to improve software development processes
What you’ll need to Succeed:Â
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering or a related technical field & 10+ years of experience or a MS & 7+ years of experience
- Working knowledge of writing and development software process documentation, process measurements, and statistical process control.
- Experienced in driving process improvement using industry standards such as AUTOSAR, Automotive SPICE, CMMI, ISO 26262, ISO/PAS 21448, or ISO/SAE 2143
- Familiar with software development toolsÂ
- Experience with various software development life cycle models (Agile, V, Waterfall, Incremental, Iterative, Spiral, Prototyping, etc.)
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to build trust and strong working relationships, effectively create and proofread documents and reports, and communicate to a diverse workforce.
