Staff Solution Test Engineer, BWAN

Today, there's more data and users outside the enterprise than inside, causing the network perimeter as we know it to dissolve. We realized a new perimeter was needed, one that is built in the cloud and follows and protects data wherever it goes, so we started Netskope to redefine Cloud, Network and Data Security. 

We are looking for software engineers with a strong system testing background who can work in a fast paced environment that is at the cutting edge of WAN edge & Cloud networking. You will fit into this role if you have the passion of delivering high quality, high performance & scalable software by qualifying in large, complex and use-case driven environments focusing on large customer deployments. The ability to take a customer centric, big picture approach will be an added advantage.

In this role you will find yourself working at various levels of engineering process starting from product solution design for customer requirements, test planning and validation.

What you will be doing

• Understand the product/feature requirement against customer use cases, review the design and write system test plans that suits the customer use cases
• Bring in expertise to simulate customer topologies in house and extensively test realistic use cases with stability, security, scale and performance as priority in order.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders from the Development, QE, Product Management and   Sales team to understand customer requirements and functional / performance expectations.
• Explore solution deployment possibilities in multi-cloud infrastructure and automate terraform modules
• Responsible for validating new solution integration and partnership requirements and run demos
• Brainstorm and automate the customer topology bring up and test cases.
• Help Escalation team on field issues triaging and recreations

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years of experience in Networking product testing and automation deliverables.
• 3+ years of experience in system / solution, performance testing of a networking product in large and complex network topologies

Preferred Technical Skills

• Strong expertise in L2/L3 networking concepts (VLAN, VXLAN, MPLS, STP & LACP etc), TCP/IP, Routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), Load Balancers, VPN,, IPSec and WAN architecture
• Experience with Multi-Cloud Technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Private Cloud (KVM, ESXi, Hyper-V)
• Strong expertise in Cloud Security, SD-WAN, ZTNA, Firewall Products and deployments
• Strong Experience in one or more of the following Programming languages: Python, Go
• Familiarity with various Linux test tools, traffic generators (IXIA, Spirent), packet crafting and security test tools
• System / server side experience for troubleshooting and strong knowledge of Linux.
• Experience with developing Terraform modules will be a plus

Additional Skills

• CCIE (R&S, DataCenter) or CCNP will be highly preferred
• Great written and verbal communication.
• Ability to operate and drive deliverables with high degree of independence and great desire of success at high stability of our product
• Ability to work for a geo-distributed cross-functional group

Education

• M.S / B.S degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering with Computer Networking Fundamentals.
