The Space Systems Command (SSC) Technical Support (STS) 3rd Follow-on (STS-3) contract provides acquisition, technical and engineering support to the USSF Space Systems Command (SSC) Battle Management Command, Control & Communications Sustainment (BCS). BCS acquires services to modernize and sustain the Satellite Control Network (SCN).

We are seeking a Sr. Network Engineer with networking, IT, and cybersecurity experience for the BCS STS-3 contract to support the SCN government team.

Duties include:

• Providing systems engineering and integration technical support for satellite communications network systems including Telemetry, Tracking & Control (TT&C), scheduling, communications, and associated systems.• Perform engineering of system architectures, requirements analysis and decomposition, including system performance test and verification.• Perform engineering analyses to predict and define problems, define/design actionable corrective measures, and operational implementation of SCN systems.• Review and assess contractor designs and conduct trade studies on alternative system design approaches.• Participate or lead technical meetings and government-led studies, assess technical baselines and ensure system modifications meet requirements.

Qualifications Desired

• Prior experience interfacing with multiple agencies to coordinate connectivity of new or existing ground systems. • Experience developing required documentation to setup communications connectivity at military installations.• Experience with a variety of communication system architectures for variety of RF applications• Ability to provide Cybersecurity advice on application design and testing, to include: risk management, security architecture, security requirements definition, test planning, methods of test, and test procedures.• Working knowledge of the Satellite Control Network (SCN) or similar DoD program.

Qualifications Required (Skills)

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent and minimum 7 years of relevant experience.

• Experience with requirements traceability, system-of-systems integration and testing• Design, implementation, and troubleshooting experience of voice systems, WAN/LAN networking and network virtualization.• Proficiency with communication network analysis tools (Cisco IOS, Cisco ASDM, Palo Alto Pan-OS) • Proficiency with Windows and Linux OS networking.• Experience in infrastructure/network/storage environments and designing, planning, documenting and implementation of infrastructure.• Direct experience with the deployment of cloud, on-premise virtual solutions, software defined networking, and familiarity with concepts such as micro-segmentation and network containerization.• Applied experience with network security and monitoring tools (e.g., SIEM, SolarWinds, SL1, etc.).• Experience configuring and managing enterprise firewalls and gateway devices.• Understanding of networking principles in space applications.• AN ACTIVE DOD SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION FOR WHICH, YOU MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN
