Credit Karma is looking for a Staff Technical Program Manager who has a strong software engineering background and leadership experience in an Agile environment. You will be responsible for providing the day to day support required to fully support cross‐functional teams. As a servant leader, you will be focusing on establishing good communication channels, giving people clear context, and clarifying milestones and end goals. We need a solid proactive leader and not just a project order taker, scheduler, and status reporter. You’ll work closely with our teams to drive dialog in order to create a high level of teamwork; thus bringing together Product, Development, Quality Assurance, Security, Legal, Analytics, Release and anyone else needed to deliver successful programs. 

What the Job Entails:

  • Leads and drives strategic initiative execution with end-to-end ownership. Includes identifying important priorities that need attention, developing a plan to tackle, bringing the right team together to execute, and managing progress, risks and dependencies.
  • Drives Annual  Planning, in partnership with business and technical leaders; develops, runs, maintains and improves the process, tooling, and governance,  resulting in the Annual Plan, Roadmaps and Initiatives.
  • Provides thought partnership on the quality of Strategic Company Input Goals (including ability to clearly convey progress at the CEO level. 
  • Develops, runs, and maintains the Input Goals management process throughout the year that results in status reporting and tracking of outcome metric actuals for leadership decisions 
  • Provides a year-end summary of company-level goal attainment and outcome achievement to CK & Intuit executives. 
  • Provide leadership and coordination to Engineering programs that span multiple teams and departments. 
  • Create core teams to manage Input Goals programs and ensure the team works together to create objectives and timelines. 
  • Own and swiftly break down impediments that prevent things from moving forward. 
  • Increase collaboration and improve visibility into cross‐team dependencies.
  • Proactively identifies, escalates and implements preventative measures to blockers and risks as they occur. 
  • Grows and nurtures a cohesive functional organization through strong cross-team relationships, shared vision and strong alignment around key results.
  • Cultivates a mentality of collaboration, empathy and helpfulness that enables cross-team collaboration from their own team.

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • 10+ years of experience working with Engineering teams in a technology company setting. 
  •  Start‐up or small company experience, and working in low structure environments. 
  • Makes high-value and continuous improvements to existing processes that impacts multiple teams
  • Experience in an enterprise Agile transformation that has scaled beyond the individual team level is a plus. 
  • Able to discuss examples of driving programs involving 5 or more teams and 20 or more individuals from conception  to delivery. 
  • Has clear opinions on what Program Management is and how to structure a program in an environment that may not have a clear structure already. 
  • Solid understanding of Scrum, Kanban, Lean, and scaled Agile principles and practices.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, open to change, and thrives in fast‐paced and fluid environments. 
  • Strong organizational, verbal/written communication, facilitation, coaching and influencing skills. 
  • Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‐solving skills. 
  • Ability to build relationships with senior‐level leaders and day‐to‐day contacts alike. 
  • Outstanding communication skills appropriate for engineers, data and financial analysts, and executive-level audiences. 
  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical or related field from an accredited college or university.
