Staff Technical Program Manager

Summary:
The Staff Technical Program Manager is responsible for managing and aligning multiple projects with the strategic goals of Hyperfine, and overseeing its success as a program. The individual in this role collaborates effectively with stakeholders across all levels of the organization to shepherd the delivery of software updates for Point of Care MRI, specifically focused on software releases across device software, imaging, cloud, and AI.
Responsibilities:
- Work with device software, cloud and AI teams to build and deliver software solutions to our customers.
- Coordinate software-hardware integration
- Build, communicate, and track program execution; facilitating schedule development, assignment of directly responsible individuals (DRIs), identifying key stakeholders or executive sponsors, and ensuring accountability of deliverables
- Drive an agile and compliant software development culture, managing key ceremonies and sprint processes.
- Support development of and tracking to annual operating plan/budget for software programs.
- Manage and track tickets in JIRA including triage, prioritization, and release assignment
- Implement and drive adoption of project management best practices throughout the organization, identifying key tools/resources to utilize along the way
- Release products into the field, working cross-functionally across engineering, operations, quality, regulatory, product management, marketing, product design, clinical training, and sales.
- Anticipate validation plans, validation, communicate with sites effectively via Clinical Science
- Conduct presentations or proposals (virtual or live) to senior leadership and management
- Identify program risks, resource constraints, conflicts; propose and implements practical solutions; and escalate issues to leadership as needed

- Regular presence in our Guilford, CT site.
- Ability to travel between Hyperfine sites, customer sites as needed
- Excellent problem-solving skills and solutions-oriented mindset
- Proficient in Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite applications
Education/Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Bioengineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering or related field and 12+ years relevant experience (or equivalent).
- 5+ years’ experience in program management in medtech with a proven track record of successful commercial software releases.
- Strong knowledge and experience with medical device software development lifecycle, software as a medical device, IEC 62304, AAMI TIR45 agile in medical device development, and risk management.
- Demonstrated experience across multiple product lines throughout the entire product development lifecycle, including successful releases of complex hardware-software devices.
- Experience with JIRA, feature requests, bug tracking, and managing agile software development processes
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years experience in medical imaging, MRI, PET, SPECT, image processing
- Software development experience in a commercial setting
- Certifications and/or formal training in program management (e.g., PMP, PgMP, DASM, CSM)
- Experience with enterprise-wide project management software (e.g., Asana, Smartsheet, Wrike)
