We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Staff Technical Program Manager for our Supplier Quality (SQ) Team. This role is based in Arizona, USA, and involves leading a team of Technical Program Managers (TPMs) and Supplier Quality Engineers (SQEs) to enable the data driven supplier quality initiatives, projects and programs within extremely aggressive timelines globally. As a key player in our organization, you will be responsible for the effective visualization of SQ KPI dashboards, facilitating data-driven executive level decisions, and maintaining critical performance metrics and databases.

You will lead a team that is actively engaged and act as a liaison across functional areas such as production, plant quality, manufacturing, logistics, material planning, corporate quality, supply chain, engineering IT, enterprise, and corporate supplier industrialization to create innovative SQ data analytics methods, tools and techniques to achieve ambitious KPIs including built in quality execution during serial production.

Candidate must be industrious, agile, ability wok in different time zones and able to travel across the globe (NA/Asia/EU/KSA) to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders for SQ analytics development.

Candidate must have strong data ETL, manipulation, visualization and overall story telling with data experience working with SQE teams and suppliers, be able to direct suppliers and SQEs on deliverables and KPIs and have the capacity to contribute consistently and positively in a high-paced, fast-changing, and sometimes unpredictable environment.

You will:

  • Team Leadership and Development: Recruit, mentor, and lead a diverse team of TPMs and SQEs. Cultivate a collaborative and innovative environment to enhance team performance and creativity.
  • Data Analytics and Visualization: Direct the creation and implementation of KPI dashboards, simplifying complex data into actionable insights for executive decision-making.
  • Program Management: Ensure efficient management of daily operations and strategic initiatives, maintaining timely, on-budget delivery of projects within specified scopes.
  • Database and Performance Metrics: Manage the ongoing maintenance and enhancement of performance metrics, tools, and databases for the supplier and SQE teams. Propel forward predictive analytics to proactively address potential future challenges.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to synchronize strategies and efforts, ensuring data reporting and analysis are consistent and precise.
  • Leadership Presence: Act as a role model to positively influence both internal and external stakeholders through exemplary leadership.
  • Communications and Reporting: Represent the Arizona SQE team by producing regular, data-driven reports for senior management. These reports should detail performance, objectives, key results, risks, and areas for improvement.
  • Industry Awareness: Stay informed of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory updates that could influence program management and supplier processes.
  • Travel Requirements: Be prepared to travel between 25-75% of the time, often at short notice, to various Lucid Motors and supplier locations worldwide.

You Bring:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field. Postgraduate degrees or certifications in project management or data analytics are preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years in Supplier Quality, Supplier Industrialization, or Technical Program Management, preferably in the automotive sector. Experience managing technical teams and involvement in Greenfield projects, especially with EV startups, is highly valued.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Strong background in database management and SQL.
  • Knowledge of predictive analytics and machine learning techniques.
  • Exceptional leadership and team-building capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and data storytelling skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and adaptability in fast-paced environments.
  • Communication: Advanced written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated program management abilities and strong relationship-building skills.
  • Industry-Specific Skills: Hands-on experience with supplier industrialization and quality frameworks (ISO, IATF, DFM, GD&T), automotive core pillars (APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC, FMEA), and conducting supplier audits.
  • Personal Traits: Team-oriented, proactive, data-driven, with a creative approach to problem-solving. Must have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), familiarity with Smartsheet, JMP, Minitab, JIRA, and Tableau is advantageous.
  • Certifications: PMP, Lead Auditor, ASQ, Six Sigma Black Belt certifications are preferred.
