We're looking for a Senior UI Engineer with a strong sense of individual agency: When you see problems, you can't help but look for solutions, and you have a track record of delivering on them.

Our risk system processes millions of transactions and over a billion dollars annually. We are in the process of building next generation Risk Engine which needs a sophisticated UI where risk agents can view and review requests, make decisions, set up rules, etc. We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated UI engineer who can be part of this journey of creating the next-gen risk system.

Come join our Risk Scrum team located in Pleasanton, California. We are big on Agile methodology, and we do 2-week sprints.

Responsibilities:

What You'll Do

• Learn everything about our risk systems and have a voice in their future direction.
• Participate in the creation and continuous improvement of the UI screens, which match industry standards and best practices.
• Builds fluid, responsive layouts that function across a wide array of mobile and desktop devices.
• Develops a rich user experience using HTML5, Angular, JavaScript, and CSS
• Participate in grooming sessions and design and architecture review and brainstorming sessions.
• Collaborate with the scrum team and all other stakeholders during all stages of the development process.
• Influence acceptance criteria for new features by guiding the team to focus on usability, performance, security, and scalability.
• Work with AWS services like EC2, OpenSearch, ALB, CloudFront, and much more.
• Integrate with Restful API services.
• Learn about the payment industry with in-depth knowledge gains on types of fraud occurring in the industry.
• Stand up for good customers even when it's difficult.
• Support and inspire your peers.
• Solve complex problems well.

Qualifications:

What You Need To Have

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science and/or equivalent experience
• 4+ years of UI Engineering experience building front-end web products.
• 2+ years of continuous work experience in Angular 9 or above
• Good knowledge of NodeJS
• Thorough understanding of OWASP and other application security standards.
• Proficiency in cross-browser compatibility and performance tuning of UI/JavaScript applications.
• Write high-quality standards-compliant code in a timely manner, including testing/debugging in multiple browsers and platforms.
• Able to turn complex layouts (PSD/wireframes) into pixel-perfect HTML/CSS/JS templates
• Experience prototyping and evaluating front-end designs
• Good verbal and written communication skills and articulate information in a clear and concise manner.
• Ability to work effectively on multiple tasks in parallel and positively manage work in an environment where that can be changes in the scope of work and timeline.
• Bonus: Experience working in the AWS cloud ecosystem
• Bonus: Experience with container-based application development using Docker/Kubernetes
• Bonus: Experience in developing mobile apps (ios and Android)

Benefits:

Salary Range for all U.S. Residents (excluding Alaska, California, North Dakota, South Dakota): $82,880.00 to $126,000.00

Salary Range for California Residents Only: $112,066.00 to $126,000.00
