Staff Unity Software Engineer

Vicarious Surgical is hiring a Staff Unity Software Engineer to join our team in Waltham, MA. As a Staff Unity Software Engineer you’ll help to create the interfaces surgeons use to embody our robotic system and visualize what the robot is seeing. You’ll work closely with the robotic controls team  to build feedback & control interfaces that allow the surgeon to understand and employ the superhuman capabilities of our robotic system.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the architecture team to define and maintain the GUI software architecture.
• Implement the 3D surgeon interfaces for the robot.
• Lead weekly robot integration testing & help to triage and fix issues.
• Implement decision support and UX prototyping simulations.

About You

• 8+ years professional Unity based C# development experience
• Effectively adapts traditional object oriented design patterns to Unity
• Enjoys working on small teams
• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent relevant experience

Nice To Have

• Medical device experience
• Robotic systems experience
• Unity XR development, render pipeline workflows, import toolchain including Pixyz Studio, performance optimization, native plugin development, TestRunner experience
• Python, C, C++
