Our Ways of Working
We have team members located across the United States spanning multiple time zones. This means we put in extra effort to make sure we connect and collaborate in ways that make sense for us. We know how valuable the flexibility of remote work is for our employees.Â
We know that personal connection is the foundation for the great work we do together. In order to build those relationships with team members in other cities, we meet with coworkers in person two times a year at a full company offsite and a departmental offsite. These offsites are expected of employees and are great opportunities to meet the people you work with every day and to do some of the work that is much more difficult to do virtually.
What the Role Is
Babylist is looking for a Staff UX Researcher to join our product team! In this role, you will take a comprehensive view of Babylist's user experience landscape, establishing yourself as the go-to expert on our users, their pain points, and their needs.This person should demonstrate a strong capability to develop and execute a robust research plan, prioritizing the identification and resolution of user pain points. Their work should directly influence product development and design choices, ensuring a user-centric approach.Â
Additionally, we're looking for someone who can effectively evangelize and advocate for our users within the organization, showing how user insights drive our strategic direction and growth. This role will set the foundation for scalable, user-focused initiatives.
Who You Are
- You excel at taking a holistic view of the organization's research landscape by proactively identifying and understanding the bigger picture, including roadmaps, initiatives, metrics, and user pain points across the company
- You initiate and lead high-impact research efforts that align with the business's overarching goals and user needs, driving meaningful changes in the user experience and contribute to business success
- You play a pivotal role in collaborating with cross-functional teams, product managers, designers, and engineers, leveraging their insights to guide decision-making and ensure that user research informs the development of products and services
- Effectively communicate user research findings and their strategic implications to leadership by leveraging in-depth user research and data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions and make informed "bets" that align with the company's long-term vision
- You are adept at establishing scalable research methods and frameworks that can be applied across multiple teams and projects

- Data-Driven Advocacy: Be a fervent advocate for a data-driven approach to enhance customer experience. Utilize both qualitative and quantitative research methods to gain insights into our customers' needs
- Strategic Influence: Play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience, influencing our business strategy, and contributing to the overall success of the company
- Empathy Champion: Promote empathy for our users within the organization. Employ research methods to develop deep insights into our users' priorities, effectively represent their perspectives, and ensure our collaborators comprehend their needs
- Enhancing the Parental Journey: Support the growing number of new parents who rely on Babylist by improving their experience in preparing for their baby. This includes enhancing our existing registry, content, health, and eCommerce offerings

Babylist takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location.
The estimated pay range for this role is $150,230.00- $225,137.00
In addition, Babylist offers equity, bonus, and benefits, including company paid health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies.
