About the team:
We're excited to have talented Web engineers join our team to build an incredible experience for Robinhhood's customers!
The Support X team is responsible for the customer-facing experience of support. We play a critical role in reducing the cost and negative experiences often associated with providing support - so that we can pass that value on to our customers and emphasize the "all" in Robinhood's mission to democratize finance for all.
Our team is taking on new, ambitious web work while also enhancing many existing products. We need a strong and experienced web engineer to define and drive a strong technical vision for how to do that efficiently and effectively.
What you'll do day-to-day:
- Create high-quality, performant products that leverage technologies like React, TypeScript, and CSS-in-JS
- Own and drive features from inception and design to implementation and launch, being the web expert on your team
- Build and improve tools to support Robinhood's operations and platforms, providing leverage across the company
- Collaborate with design and product experts to rapidly iterate and ship financial products
- Build frameworks and abstractions to materially accelerate and empower other developers
- Lead the community of web engineers at Robinhood and act as a force-multiplier for those around you
About you:
- 8+ years of professional Software Development experience
- 6+ years of professional experience with modern Web technologies and frameworks
- You think in first principles with a deep understanding of web and React conventions and can help set the tone for the broader team.
- You have an incredible design intuition coupled with an obsession for the customer and their experience.
- You have a track record of successfully leading teams and delivering large scope technical projects, setting a high standard for code quality and code review processes.
- You deeply understand the design, product, and backend engineering disciplines so that you can work effectively with them.
