Staff Web Scraping Engineer (Contract)

Array is looking for a Staff Web Scraping Engineer to join our growing Privacy Protect team. Our Privacy Protect team helps millions of people clean up, protect and improve their online privacy and reputation. Our Privacy API allows enterprises across industries like identity protection, FinTech, banking, antivirus, and cybersecurity to add powerful privacy features to their own offerings through our scalable, industry-leading Privacy APIs and private label partner solutions. Our consumer brands–HelloPrivacy and BrandYourself– help millions of consumers protect their online privacy and reputation and have been featured on ABC's Shark Tank, BBC's Dragons' Den, and numerous other media outlets. You will be considered a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the domain of Web Scraping, you will play a crucial role in leading and shaping our web scraping operations.

You Will:

• Lead the automation of personal information detection and removal activities for our customers, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Innovate and implement advanced web scraping and stealth techniques to guarantee the success of our operations, demonstrating deep expertise in the field.
• Develop rapid response strategies for site changes that impact operation success rates, utilizing your extensive experience to overcome challenges effectively.
• Spearhead the creation of Proof of Concepts (POCs) and pilot projects to trial new defeat techniques before their widespread implementation, showcasing your strategic thinking and technical acumen.
• Define and implement industry-leading best practices for monitoring and alerting, ensuring seamless operation success and rapid issue resolution.
• Mentor and train junior web scrape engineers, imparting your knowledge of stealth techniques and best practices to enhance the team's skills and expertise.
• Create and maintain comprehensive internal documentation, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth within the team.

You Have:

• Current expertise in automation or web scraping engineering
• A strong track record of technical excellence and innovation using tools like Puppeteer.
• Deep knowledge of the latest stealth and evasion techniques and industry changes, staying ahead of the curve in web scraping technology.
• Proficiency in AWS; leveraging these services to optimize web scraping operations efficiently.
• Demonstrated experience in web automation within large-scale enterprises, data brokers and ecommerce websites showcasing your ability to handle complex and high-impact projects.
• Proven expertise in building and maintaining resilient systems against bot detection tools such as Cloudflare, leveraging your technical skills to ensure the robustness and reliability of our web scraping operations.
• Thrived in dynamic and innovative startup environments, displaying adaptability, creativity, and a solution-oriented mindset to overcome challenges.
