The opportunity
The Real Estate Writer role at TechnologyAdvice is for our online publication Fit Small Business. This person will create authoritative, high-quality content that speaks directly to newly licensed real estate agents and brokers as well as landlords and investors. The Real Estate Writer will have at least 2-3 years of real estate experience as a real estate agent or broker and has worked with buyers, sellers, renters, and landlords. They will be able to speak on a wide array of topics ranging from real estate education, lead generation, and marketing to real estate investing and rental properties. Strong communication skills are a must and previous writing experience is preferred. This role works in collaboration with our Real Estate section Content Producer and reports to our US Senior Content Editor.
What you'll do
- Writes publishable first drafts of 3-4 articles each week
- Consistently meets deadlines with articles of the highest quality
- Demonstrates expertise in the field of real estateÂ
- Knowledgeable about real estate lead generation and marketing, education, and property investmentÂ
- Able to breakdown complex topics into manageable pieces and explain them in a simple way
- Responds to feedback and incorporates changes in a timely manner
- Learns how to ideate future articles in the field of expertise, working with the Content Producer and Director of Content on a content calendar
- Conducts keyword research
- Works with SEO Marketing and Business Development to connect the work of those teams to the content
- Begins working on bigger content projects, offering expertise
- Collaborates with SEO marketing to increase visibility on the topics
- Develop infographics, templates, and downloadables to support written content.
Who you are
- You have 2-3 years minimum experience working as a licensed real estate agent or broker, though you do not need to be an active agent or broker
- Online article writing experience 1+ year preferred
- You have subject matter expertise in real estate, including lead generation, marketing, investing, and educationÂ
- You enjoy writing and can demonstrate writing proficiency and editing capabilities on a test article and/or a current portfolio
- You are collaborative and enjoy working with multiple team members
- You have a basic understanding of SEO
- You are self-motivated and have a strong work ethicÂ
- You are able to manage your time to meet deadlines
- You are open to feedback and strive to learn something new every day
- You are passionate about delivering the best answers to people’s questions
- You are comfortable in a remote working environment on a team where things change quickly
- Agile professional who excels in a fast-paced environment and thrives on continuously pivoting strategies to drive business needs forward

Salary Range
TechnologyAdvice seeks to hire top-tier individuals across the world and intends for our compensation to be at a rate that allows us to recruit and retain individuals who align with our core values, purpose, mission, and vision. Â
Final total compensation is based on a multitude of factors including, but not limited to, skill level, relevant experience to the position, and cost of labor.
Annual pay range
$65,000—$75,000 USD
