Staff/Sr.Staff Software Development Engineer Test, Tools

We seek a strong technical leader who can build tools and services that can improve the test automation, test reporting & test debugging experience for test automation engineers. You will guide the automation of test infrastructure provisioning, scaling, and more. As part of the team, you will help build frameworks to write & integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines across multiple languages and frameworks. With your technical expertise and leadership, you will promote a culture of site reliability, test automation, shared ownership, and transparency.

You Will

• Build and support tools and services to augment and improve our automated test platform.
• Research and develop ways to improve the experience and reduce/remove the manual toil for users of our automated systems.
• Hands on implementor – in infrastructure automation. 
• Spearhead test automation frameworks, harnesses, and CI/CD integration for comprehensive test coverage.
• Manage test environments, data, and infrastructure to enable comprehensive testing.
• Enable velocity through agile processes, CI/CD adoption, and fast release cycles.
• Architect monitoring, logging, and alerting to provide end-to-end observability for test lifecycle.
• Develop playbooks for incident response, disaster recovery, and post-mortem analyses.
• Instill a culture of site reliability, shared ownership, and automation across the organization. Lead technical design reviews and code quality processes focused on reliability, security, and testability.
• Use GenAI/ML based tools to ease test development & triage process. 
• Stay up-to-date with the industry innovation & use the latest tech stack to enforce best practices across the board.

You Have

• 10+ years of product quality, automation and/or Devops experience.
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field,
• Hands-on ability in developing, deploying, and securing services, ideally in regulated environments.
• Experience with software development productivity metrics and help to continuously improve code velocity, quality, and release frequency.
• Experience using code and scripts to provision, configure and manage the underlying infrastructure resources including servers, networks, databases and other components.
• Experience in networking (NMAP, SNMP, Sensors), Big data technologies (Apache Spark, Apache Kafka), and Databases (SQL).
• Strong Linux admin-level knowledge.
• Strong experience and knowledge of microservices, distributed systems, and performance optimizations Knowledge of Public cloud providers such as Aws/Azure/GCP.
• Working knowledge of VMWare. Install, configure, and manage virtual instances.
• Preferred: cybersecurity, experience in AI/ML testing
