Stagehand III - MGM Grand

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

As a Stagehand III, you will set the stage for guest experience with your welcoming smile and service. By understanding their unique stories and needs, you will own their experience to create WOW memories they will carry with them far and beyond their stay with us.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain workplace, project and site safety at all times
• Integrate with other departments for coordination of projects and events
• Build and operate sound and lighting systems
• Load and unload entertainment related trucks
• Operate spotlight FOH or Truss mounted
• Build and operate video systems
• Build, modify, and strike scenic show elements and entertainment related staging
• Set/strike all related entertainment equipment, sound, lights, video, set, wardrobe, furniture and any other related show equipment
• Perform other job-related duties as requested

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Knowledgeable with one of the following areas: audio, automation, carpentry, electrics, property & puppets, rigging and special effects
• Knowledgeable of all power tools and hand tools
• Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms
• Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts
• Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to company standards

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Three (3) years of experience in shop work dealing in a theatrical setting
• Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays

PREFERRED:

• Experience working in a similar resort setting
