What WillBeYourPurpose:

Specialist IIIB position- STARS Business Support Project Manager leads projects by developing project plans, monitoring project status, and identifying dependencies, risks, and issues that impact quality, timelines, and cost. This individual works closely with other team members and internal/external stakeholders to communicate critical path items and work toward resolving challenges early to keep initiatives/campaigns on schedule. This position resides in the Quality/Stars area.

Understands the goals and objectives of the project and its alignment with Quality/Stars business strategy, documents scope when applicable

Determine appropriate project milestones, deliverables, tasks, and documents the detailed project plan based on the Quality/Stars project documentation templates

What Will You Be Doing:

Lead the project/campaign team and provide guidance with end-to-end oversight• Coordinates and drives activities across the project team to assure effective design, development, and implementation• Reviews detailed project plans when applicable with stakeholders• Leads project meetings• Manages all documentation related to the project as well as internal communications• Advises project team, internal/external stakeholder if a risk/barrier is identified within a project/campaign/initiative• Develops and maintains relationships with stakeholders and team members to achieve mutual goals

Manages the project delivery activities in accordance with the Quality/Stars standards• Accountable for project delivery including meeting time, budget, and quality standards• Coordinates with the technical team members on infrastructure and development issues• Coordinates technical, planning and coordination issues• Participates in user and usability testing to facilitate optimal end user experience• Supports implementation activities to ensure goals are achieved• Accountable for active facilitation of project issue resolution, change, risk, and dependency management

Communicates project status to project team, Sr. Manager, and stakeholders' leadership• Closely tracks timelines and communicates to leadership any potential slippages, work plan modifications and change requests• Provides status reports to leadership on time and with high quality and completeness• Identifies and calls out risks to timelines, quality, or cost and escalates to leadership as appropriate• Maintains issue logs and ensures all issues identified are resolved

What is Required:

Required:

  • 5+ years related work experience. Experience Details: Relevant experience with 3 years of project management experience
  • Related Bachelor's degree or additional related work experience
  • Healthcare industry experience is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Stars, HEDIS and Medicare
  • Strong understanding of the Project Management Methodology
  • Experience in risk management and/or change management
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Results oriented
  • Demonstrated ability to professionally interface with individuals at various levels of the organization, including Directors
  • Basic understanding of business processes and functions
  • Proven ability to build relationships within the business area and across the organization
  • Ability to identify, address and resolve complex business issues
  • Conflict resolution experience; negotiation skills
  • Organizational skills with strong attention to detail and prioritize workload
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Ability to document meeting minutes, action items from project status meetings
  • Ability to lead/facilitate meetings to document issues, risks, and dependency updates
  • Ability to manage tasks independently and take ownership of responsibilities
  • Excellent PC skills, specifically utilizing the MS Office Suite Products (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to learn from mistakes and apply constructive feedback

Preferred:

  • Experience with leading complex projects
  • Experience with working with external vendors on initiatives/projects

General Physical Demands

Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to move objects. Jobs are sedentary if traversing activities are required only occasionally.

Physical/Environmental Activities

Must be able to travel to multiple locations for work (i.e. travel to attend meetings, events, conferences). Occasionally
