This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Stat Programmer II / Sr Statistical Programmer (R / R Shiny) in India.

This role is part of a global clinical development environment where advanced statistical programming directly supports the acceleration of life-changing therapies. You will work on complex clinical trial datasets, building robust analytical outputs and interactive visualizations that inform critical regulatory and scientific decisions. The position combines deep technical R programming expertise with exposure to real-world clinical research challenges across multiple studies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including biostatistics, data management, and clinical operations in a highly collaborative, international setup. This is a hands-on role where R Shiny development, data wrangling, and visualization play a central part in delivering high-quality insights. Accountabilities

  • Develop, validate, and maintain statistical programs and outputs supporting clinical trial analysis using R and related tools.
  • Build interactive dashboards and applications using R Shiny to support data exploration and visualization for clinical stakeholders.
  • Perform data wrangling and transformation using tidyverse, ensuring accuracy and consistency of clinical datasets.
  • Create high-quality visualizations using ggplot2 and support statistical reporting needs across multiple studies.
  • Apply strong version control practices using Git (GitHub or GitLab), including branching, merging, and code reviews.
  • Collaborate with study teams to support study setup, execution, and reporting activities across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Ensure compliance with programming standards, study protocols, and regulatory expectations in clinical research.

  • Requirements

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Life Sciences, or related field.
    • 5+ years of hands-on experience in R programming within the clinical research or pharmaceutical domain.
    • Strong expertise in R Shiny development for building interactive applications and dashboards.
    • Advanced proficiency in tidyverse and ggplot2 for data manipulation and visualization.
    • Solid understanding of clinical trial data structures and statistical programming workflows.
    • Strong Git skills including version control, branching, merging, and code review practices.
    • Experience working across multiple studies with ability to manage priorities effectively.
    • Good communication skills with ability to collaborate in global, cross-functional teams.
    • Nice to have: R package development, AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Claude), IronPython exposure, and study lead experience.
