Job Summary

As a Senior Statistician / Data Scientist for Alight Retiree Health Solutions (ARHS) Data & Analytics (D&A) team, you will be creating advanced analytics in a cross-functional setting to accelerate revenue growth, improve operational efficiencies & delivery predictability, accelerate product innovation, and enhance the consumer experience. The Senior Statistician / Data Scientist for is responsible for leading the design, development, and deployment of advanced statistical models working closely with the data science, data engineering, and business analytics teams. Furthermore, the Senior Statistician / Data Scientist will support bolstering the statistical skill development and core competencies across the D&A team.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee statistical methodologies for dynamic team focused on consumer and healthcare data
• Lead the design, development and deployment of advanced statistical models
• Build statistical and machine learning models on consumer behavior and health datasets
• Develop validation and quality control methodologies
• Collaborate with data engineering team on data pipelines
• Translate and simplify results for presentation to business stakeholders, partners, and clients
• Work in collaboration with data consultants, data scientists, functional leaders, and external parties
• Design visualization tools and reporting automation to communicate end-results to targeted users

You Bring Knowledge and Expertise - Required Experience:

• Degree in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science, computer science or other related fields (MS/PhD in statistics preferred).
• PhD with 2 years' experience or 7+ years' experience in statistics
• Strong applied statistics skills such as model training and validation, causal inference methods, statistical testing
• Experience in data cleaning, exploratory analysis, predictive and classification analytics
• Experience designing and leading data science projects and/or teams
• Proficient in R, Python, SQL
• Experience with data visualization tool Tableau is a plus
• Good communication skills, both oral and in writing
• Good organization and time management skills; ability to work independently

Therefore, an offer may fall anywhere in between the estimated minimum base salary for this role of $83,700.00/year (for full time employees) and the estimated maximum base salary for this role of $160,400.00/year (for full time employees). In addition to a base salary, this position may be bonus eligible.
